HOW IT WORKS

REGISTRATION & COLLECTION PHASE
March 23, 2023 – April 13, 2023 (Inclusive)

You will be a member of a six-person team. You have two options:

1. You can form your own six-person team.
2. We can assign you to a team.

$50 registration fee per person to participate in the event.  Registration fee includes:

  • $25 raffle ticket to help cover the cost of a bottle of wine Making Changes will purchase on your behalf (retail value of at least $25).

  • $25 participation donation to Making Changes (matched up to 50% by Shaw Birdies for Kids, presented by AltaLink).

 There is no limit to the number of entries per person.  An individual is not considered registered until payment has been received in full.

How to Register:

  • Purchase your Wine Survivor tickets using the button below.

  • If you are paying for more than one person – please indicate details in the notes section.

  • Remember to include your team’s name, the names of the members, their mailing addresses, and email addresses.

  • All participants must be a minimum of 18 years old and have an Alberta mailing address.

Individual raffle tickets will be mailed out the week of April 17, 2023.

ELIMINATION PHASE – April 24 – May 4, 2023

  • Daily draws will be held from April 24th – April 28th and May 1st – May 4th, with individual names being eliminated or “voted off the island”. However, as long as at least one member of your team is still in the draw, your entire team is still in the game.

  • The number of people that will be eliminated every day will depend on the number of registered participants.

  • The names of the individuals that are eliminated will be emailed to all participants at the end of each day.

  • The first full team eliminated will receive 6 bottles of wine.

FINAL DRAWS AND EVENT - May 11, 2023

  • The last 24 participants whose names are still in the draw after May 4th, and their team members, will be invited to attend the finale – hosted via Zoom.

  • During the event, more draws will take place and more participants will be eliminated.  The last 6 participants (and their teams) still in the game will be declared winners, and the last name remaining (and their team) will be declared 1st place winner.

  • You don’t need to be present at the finale event to win.

  • Final confirmation of participant and team winners will be distributed by e-mail on May 12, 2023.

PRIZES

The winners will share the wine bottles purchased. The number of bottles to be won will depend on the number of entries (one bottle per entry).  The distribution will be as follows:

  • 1st Prize: 35% of the wine to be split with the winning participants’ team.

  • 2nd Prize: 25% of the wine to be split with the winning participants’ team.

  • 3rd Prize: 15% of the wine to be split with the winning participants’ team.

  • 4th Prize: 10% of the wine to be split with the winning participants’ team.

  • 5th Prize:  9% of the wine to be split with the winning participants’ team.

  • 6th Prize:   5% of the wine to be split with the winning participants’ team.

  • Biggest loser: 1st team eliminated receives 6 bottles of wine.
