Program description

Dress For Success Calgary operates as a division of Making Changes. The program provides 90-minute individual consultations on professional business attire to women facing financial barriers who want to join the workforce or return to school. In addition to information on business culture and appropriate dress, participants are offered gently used clothing and accessories at no cost to help them look and feel their best.

PROGRAM CRITERIA

Dress For Success Calgary participants can be referred by community-serving agencies, pre-employment training programs, or educational institutions in Calgary and the surrounding area. Participants may self-refer if they meet the appropriate criteria.

Participants must be experiencing financial barriers and in need of appropriate clothing for interviews, new jobs, their current workplace, or school.

We are committed to creating an environment of inclusion and welcome ALL who identify as women regardless of age, race/ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or physical ability. 

REFERRAL PROCESS

AGENCY Referral:

We accept appointment requests through local aid agencies. For booking a client for an appointment, please fill out the agency referral form.

self-Referral:

We also accept self-referral appointments. For booking an appointment for yourself, please fill out the self-referral form.

Please anticipate a response time of 3-4 weeks for these requests. Thank you for your understanding.

Dress for Success Calgary is seeking volunteers who are passionate about supporting women as they begin or resume their careers. 

Please fill out our application form to join our database of volunteers.
