An intimate runway event celebrating autumn style and the empowerment of women in our community

 

On November 4th, Dress for Success Calgary is hosting a curated fashion show at Annabelle’s Kitchen (Downtown), a cozy yet elevated setting for an unforgettable night of fashion and purpose. All proceeds from the event will go to support the mission of Dress for Success Calgary, to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

What to Expect:

  • Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. and the evening will kick off with a welcome cocktail reception and networking. 

  • An opportunity to learn more about the impact Dress for Success Calgary has in the community, with additional opportunities to support through boutique sales, donation stations and an exciting raffle. 

  • A seated 3-course dinner (can accommodate all dietary restrictions) prepared by Annabelle’s Kitchen

  • A Fashion Show styled by Chinenye Otakpor, with looks from RTND and Collins Street modelled by local influencers. 

  • An opportunity to connect with Calgary’s style and social community.

Dress for Success Calgary is a local non-profit dedicated to helping women achieve economic independence by providing professional attire, development tools, and a network of support. Their mission is to empower women to realize their full potential: one outfit, one opportunity, and one connection at a time.

About the Stylist: Chinenye Otakpor of Queens Playground 

Chinenye, is a fashion enthusiast and believes that personal style is more than just clothes but a visual representation of our personality, identity and a vehicle for enhancing our wellbeing. Born in Nigeria and partially raised in Calgary, Alberta for 20+ years, she worked within the scope of mental health for almost a decade, while passionately pursuing her passion for fashion and styling as a part-time fashion creator. Her experience as a personal stylist made her realize that her greatest passion lies in helping people cultivate positive changes in their life and career through their personal style.
