HELP MAKING CHANGES SEND A GIRL TO SCHOOL! For $240 a year or $20 a month, you can help a teen girl build the confidence to thrive and make meaningful contributions to her community.

It means a lot to me because I was a teen that received support like this and it made all the difference to go to school with a new outfit, and it connected me to an empowering female support system that made me feel confident and heard.” Kristen R.

My Best Friend’s Closet is a youth empowerment program at Making Changes. It provides teenage girls from low-income households with clothing and accessories to meet their school and recreational needs for the upcoming year—all at no cost to their families.

My Best Friend’s Closet also provides valuable leadership and personal development opportunities to young women in the community who volunteer in the program. The young women act as peers or near-peers to the girls they support.

Making Changes acknowledges the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy which includes the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai, the Tsuut’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda Nations of Chiniki, Bearspaw and Wesley and the Metis people of Alberta, Regions 5 & 6.
