UPCOMING PROGRAMS

Registration for Making Changes Employment and Life Skills Program

We have two programs starting this Spring! This pre-employment career planning program, with free childcare, is available to newcomers to Canada.

The program at Shawnessy Library will start Thursday, April 16, 2015 and will run every Tuesday and Thursday, 12:30  – 3:00 pm, for seven weeks until June 9th. Click here for more details.

The program at 1000 Voices at Genesis Centre will start April 27, 2015 and will run every Monday, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, for seven weeks until June 15th. Click here for more details.

Meet Your Favorite Stars and Support Making Changes by Attending
Beauty and The Brunch

YYCharity Inc. is honored to announce a special event on April 12, 2015 at Osteria de Medici in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation and Making Changes Association.

This event will be hosted by Chris Tutty and will include a meet and greet and a question and answer session with The Young and the Restless stars:

Tickets are $150 and include lunch, beverage and photo op with our special guests.

Join us in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge

On Sunday, May 31st, 2015, the Making Changes Association is participating in the 2015 Scotiabank Charity Run. To register for the marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km or Kids run, please click on the link below and follow the instructions on the page ensuring that you select the “Making Changes Association” when indicating which charity you’re fundraising for.

We are excited to announce that our next Fashion Forward event will be held on June 18th, 2015. Stay tuned for event details. Tickets will be on sale soon.

Volunteers Needed for Our Casino and Bingos

We are currently recruiting volunteers for our casino and for our two upcoming bingos. These fundraisers provide an important source of funding for Making Changes. Volunteering at the casino and at bingos is a great way for people to support our organization and to meet other great people. The Casino will be held on June 12th and 13th and our next bingos are on March 7th and March 29. Click here for more details.

The Walk-In Closet's mandate is to empower women by providing knowledge and a selection of work attire for their transition into the workplace.

Making Changes Association is thrilled to announce the opening of our brand new teen program, My Best Friend's Closet, where we provide teenage girls from low-income homes (ages 12-18) with a broad selection of fashionable and functional clothing to meet their back to school and recreational needs.

Donations for the Walk-In Closet and our teen program, My Best Friend's Closet, may be dropped off on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Also on select Saturdays between 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. No appointment is necessary for donation drop off.
